Last Saturday (10th Feb) the weather was a little wet and cold, but it didn’t dampen my excitement, as I was going to RSPB Old Moor. I had about 4 layers of clothes on, so I was nice and toasty.
I was filled with anticipation of what I might see.

The freezing cold February weather might have stopped us spending loads of time in the garden, but it hasn’t stopped me from getting out and about this month.
I think we’ve had every kind of weather already this month – snow, hail, plenty of rain and even a touch of sun yesterday!
This weekend I’ve been helping Mum in the kitchen, where I made a Greek veggie dish, called Briam.
Have a nosey at the video, it includes the recipe for lots of veggies you could grow yourself!
This weekend has sped by, probably because I’ve squeezed so much in.
If you didn’t know, it’s been the Big Garden Birdwatch and I went for it!
There’s not much going on in the garden at the moment, so I’ve had a go at creating my first vlog, with my co-star, Buddy
I’ve never done one before, hope you enjoy it!
Here’s a link to the RHS Young School Gardener of the Year Competition
I’ll be heading over to Hulme Community Garden Centre next Saturday 27 January to help out at their Big Garden Birdwatch event
Have a good week guys!
I was well chuffed to have been asked to write an article for the New Nature Magazine about some tips and advice for a greener garden.
The article was inspired by the lecture I went to, given by the RHS science team about climate change, back in November 2017
I’ve had a really great Christmas and short break in Scotland. It’s been awesome to chillax and have a bit of time to myself, get outside and play with Buddy and my Christmas gifts.
Hope you have had a great festive time too. In this New Year blog I’m looking forward to gardening plans for 2018 and looking back at my 2017 highlights
Given that he’s only 8 months old and from Cyprus, it was Buddy’s first taste of snow this weekend
and he went absolutely mad for it!!
Just a quick post to thank everyone for reading, liking, sharing and commenting on my last post about climate change
the response has been mega and hopefully I’ve replied to each and every one of your fantastic comments – cheers guys!
Last week ‘London was Calling’ as I was invited by the RHS to a science lecture;
called ‘gardening with a mission’ it was all about Gardening in a Changing Climate.
**This is a family blog as some things were really difficult for me to understand, so my Mum & Dad have helped me write it**
