With SAT’s around the corner (first test tomorrow), I’ve ditched the practice papers, ripped up the ‘rithmatic and binned the books – it’s time to have fun, doing a few of my favourite things….
…..chopping wood, lighting fires, eating (Jaffa cake) s’mores, spending the day at Chatsworth, wildlife spotting, getting into the garden (of course) and enjoying the sunshine!!!
A quick post this week as I’m still doing lots of practice papers ready for my SATs in just under a week.
I’ve re-potted some herbs for my mum this week, so I thought I’d give them a mention
Hot off the press, this new video showing a fantastic community effort, planting ‘An Orchard for Mossley’
As I hit over 500 followers in my first 6 months of blogging I want to make sure I stick to my roots of championing school gardening; this is one of the jobs I’ve been asked to do by the RHS.
This also ties in with the RHS Campaign for School Gardening’s Rocket Science Experiment this week as the seeds ‘blasted off’ into schools and kids have been busy planting them up.
I’m busy doing my SAT’s at the moment, so I’ve asked people I know to do a guest post on my blog. My friend, Joan is a volunteer at Operation Farm and People First Tameside.

I’ve had a great 2nd week of my school holiday, staying with Grandparents, enjoying loads of gardening, day trips and a bit of chilling out too.
Here I am at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, it was just brilliant.
I’ve just returned from a week’s holiday in mid-Wales and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!
I’ve been fishing, crabbing and wildlife spotting, ate ice cream and fish & chips, played tennis and frisbee and even had a dip in the FREEZIN’ cold sea. Continue reading
Even though I was off for Good Friday and Easter Monday our 2 week school holiday has started today and I’m soooooooooooooo glad !!

It’s been all go this week as we finally got to enjoy a bit of warm spring weather. I’ve been busy in the school garden with my mates, worked really hard at a ‘pop up’ kids café on Saturday and on Sunday I helped plant an ‘Orchard for Mossley’.
