From #RHSChelsea to #RHSChatsworth, via The Highlands!

It’s been a crazy few weeks as I’ve tripped up and down the country from London to the Isle of Mull! First, there was a weekend in London, taking in RHS Chelsea Flower Show, before I scooted off to Mull for a week of wildlife heaven.

When I returned, I had to get my head down at school as it was exam week; but there was a treat in store, as I had a cheeky visit to RHS Chatsworth Flower Show.

I’m rather goosed, but I’ve had great fun!

It’s a speedy blog, mainly ‘cos I want to spend today in the garden planting up some new stuff we bought at RHS Chatsworth. So, I’ll be using my social media posts to give you a snap shot of what I got up to. There was…..

A trip to the Natural History Museum

A wonderful day spent at Kew Botanic Gardens

RHS Chelsea Flower Show was totally epic. Here’s the moment I caught up with my fav garden designer, Mr Ishihara on his Artisan Garden

and here’s a selection of photos from the show

There was this golden opportunity to meet my social media friend, Dara. He writes a blog too – Young Fermanagh Naturalist – check it out!

Dara was over in Manchester for a conference, so we met up for a few hours and it was super cool.

We talked about our shared love of wildlife, with a bit of war hammer in the mix too!

I was a judge in the ‘Grow Green Planters’ competition at RHS Chatsworth Flower Show here’s a quick video I put together showing all the fantastic entries.

and here’s a selection of photos of the fantastic show

The community group I volunteer at, Operation Farm had some fantastic news, the ‘Young Operation Farmers’ have got some money to carry on doing what we’re good at – gardening, cooking and volunteering at community events 😜
It’s really great news ‘cos it will include sharing my ideas with other kids, about wildlife gardening, climate change and growing your own food. Totally cool

My next blog will be a full write up about the wonderful holiday I had in Mull!

Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine folks and your garden is bloomin’ lovely!

Wow George what a time you have had it’s wonderful to read all your blogs, and amazing you have learned so much from each place I can see a book coming soon. Well done you can now plant your new plants from Chatsworth and be reminded every year what a great time you had. Well done for all you have achieved .

    • Thanks Joan, did you enjoy Chatsworth too? We planted our plants over 2 weekends and they’re already coming on. Yesterday I repotted some more plants that I’d grown from seed. Everything is looking great at the moment isn’t it! George
