I made a quick dash after finishing school on Friday to do my thing as Young Ambassador for the RHS Campaign for School Gardening, with a seed planting workshop at St Christopher’s R.C. Primary School’s Fun Day
and it was #OfficiallyAmazing
I ran my workshop from their new outdoor classroom; there’s a fire pit close by and they have plans to plant a flower bed soon.
I showed the kids how to plant radish, rocket, peas and I gave them a packet of RHS ‘Perfect for Pollinators’ seeds too.
You can see all the photos on my Facebook page
If you want any advice about how to care for your seeds kids check out the RHS Campaign for School Gardening website – there’s loads of advice on there
I really enjoyed doing the workshop and I really hope I inspired other kids to give gardening a try. I think I deserved this hat shaped candy floss!!
Hoping your seeds ‘grow’ well guys!!
You are a inspiration George let’s hope all children get into growing seeds more it’s lovely to watch thing start from a small seed to something so beautiful.
